Friendship Day

I don’t know who came up with “Friendship Day” or “Friends Day”; I believe friendship should be celebrated every day, every minute, should be kept in ourselves like a real shield, protecting and helping us to face the world and every day hardships. I, for one, am constantly thankful for the true gift of being able to enjoy the company and loyalty of such a special person like yourself.
Any way, although I can’t see the need for a special date to celebrate friendship, I’ll take the opportunity to express how happy I am to know someone as nice and generous as you. I hope this letter is able to convey all the affection and appreciation I feel for you.
Sometimes you just can’t bring yourself to say everything you wanted, you know. Sometimes it’s hard to put into words how important some people are in our lives, but I’ll try: a friend like you is something hard to find and by admitting it, I want you to know that I’ll give my best to keep you by my side.
Being able to count on your friendship makes me stronger to face all my problems, even if you’re fare away, because you’re always in my thoughts and in my heart!
